JIS G3455: Carbon Steel Pipes for High Pressure ServiceStandard: JIS G3455
JST mainly produce different grades of high pressure steel pipes, such as STS 370, STS 410, STS 480, and so forth.
Applications JIS G3455 high pressure carbon steel pipes are extensively used for high pressure service. It is typically used in the piping with high working pressure and with the temperature of below 350℃. This high pressure steel pipe is also applied in boiler, electric power, machinery, gas tank, chemical engineering, construction, shipbuilding, offshore and petroleum engineering, etc.
Size Range of JIS G3455 Carbon Steel Pipe- Outer dimension is from 19.05 mm to 114.3 mm.
- Wall thickness of this high pressure steel pipe ranges from 2.0 mm to 14 mm.
- The maximum length is 16000 mm.
- JST has its own steelworks for providing pure tube billets for steel pipe processing plants and guaranteeing the quality of high pressure carbon steel pipes. Under the control of JST advanced rolling technology, our high pressure steel pipes own smaller tolerance range than that from other manufacturers.
- The micro oxidization and non-oxidation treatment furnace maintains the temperature below 5℃. There is no oxide layer on the pipe surface. This also contributes to high-quality surface, smooth surface and stable performance of carbon steel pipes.
- JST also configures a professional physical and chemical testing center with professional testing and technical personnel, and international advanced testing equipment for testing high pressure steel pipes. We possess German full spectrum direct-reading spectrometer, Japan metallurgical microscope, impact testing machine, tensile testing machine, computer controlled electro-hydraulic servo universal testing machine and a variety of machine tools. They can do tensile, flaring, flattening, curling and other physical tests for the carbon steel pipe so as to guarantee its stable performance.
Packaging We package our high pressure steel pipes in bare, bundles, crates or crate protection at the both sides of tubes. We can also package products as per customers' requirements.

Note: 1. For the high pressure steel pipes with the thickness of less than 8 mm, we use NO.12 or NO.5 sample for tensile test. The minimum elongation will be reduced by 1.5% from the table value when the thickness reduces 1 mm. The value obtained will be rounded to an integer value according to JIS Z8401 (a rounding method).
2. The above elongation is not applicable for the carbon steel pipes with the outer diameter of equal or less than 40 mm. This must be recorded.
3. When we take the electric resistance welded steel pipes for tensile test, we also choose NO.12 or NO.5 sample from the parts not containing welding seams. For the carbon steel pipes with the thickness of less than 8 mm, we use the elongation of NO.12 sample (longitudinal) or NO.5 sample (transverse) to calculate.
